I gained another pound... Tons of water yesterday, normal amount of juice, didn't eat a thing. Today's my last day.

Day 10 since breaking the juice fast check-in:

    Starting Weight: 290.8
    Current Weight: 266.6
    Previous Weight: 267.6
    Lost since yesterday: 1.0
    Total Weight lost: 24.2
    Most Weight lost: 24.2
    Lowest Weight: 266.6
    Lost since fast: 0.8

Today is a good day for me for the simple fact that you'll notice that my Total Wight Lost & Most Weight Lost columns have the same number. My Lowest weight is also me weight today. This is good because it means I'm officially at my lowest weight since I started the juice fast. Yesterday I was only 0.2 above my lowest weight so losing that full pound put me well past my previous low mark. It also means I was able to change the 'Gained since fast' column to 'lost since fast' which is a good feeling. It feels good to be able to eat food now and do so in a manner that I'm still losing weight. Here's to hoping that I get to 25lbs lost by tomorrow & maybe I can crack into the 250's by next weekend! Nice round numbers that are just around the corner.

I heard a lot of people saying that so I was bracing for the worst but I think mine peak was somewhere around day 2 maybe because while I kept expecting it to get worse it slowly improved.

Good deal man. Remember, this is just the beginning. The idea is to break your habits and mindset that got you to this point to begin with. If you do the things I mentioned earlier you will still see the weight come off: No pop, no dairy products, no breads or grains, avoid sugar as much as possible, don't eat late & when you do eat make sure your portions stay small. On top of that.... keep on juicin'! Drink juice throughout the day and even replace meals with it from time to time. I can tell you that before the fast, even though I ended up 'only' doing 3 weeks, there's no way I could have changed my lifestyle the way I have. All the weight I've lost since is attributed to said lifestyle too.

I am still reading through this, but you guys really do liquid diets for a month at a time?

My biggest concerns would be trying to balance the family's eating while I did this.

    The cost of this?

And my work, it is pretty physical, no set lunch break and no refrigerator.

This would be tough for someone with a normal job. The juices require a LOT of vegetables to make a decent quantity, and the machine has to be cleaned up immediately or you'll regret it. The juice needs to be drank soon also or the nutrients get lost or degrade, it's not really something you could make up a day's worth at once.

I don't know about the store-bought stuff Jer was using. But the homemade stuff takes a lot of produce and cleanup work.

Not trying to scare you off, just offering insight. You might make it work, and if you have a physical job burning lots of calories you may see great results. You may also see good results by simply changing what you eat now. Most "food" we love is bad for us anyway, in all reality. It's designed to make someone money rather than make people healthy.

I wanted to ask if there was a juicer that was decided as being the best. I read the first several pages and notice the HB Big Mouth seemed to be liked. I also noticed someone liked the Breville. I am thinking of getting the Breville Juice Fountain Plus but wanted to check here first.

You can't go wrong with either one.

I got mine at Bed Bath & Beyond. I got the Breville Juice Fountain for $200. The Plus is the lower priced unit at $150, and there's a higher priced one at $300. I think mine is just fine, it has 5 speeds.

I'll be going loose paleo after this with some dairy, the occasional couple of beers, etc. I'll also be juicing one or two meals a day.

I honestly think that sticking to the juice fast has been easier than eating right will be.
