Will it have xp mode? I am trying to get a old plotter working on windows 8, but there are no drivers for it.

Farts are funny
There's no going back.
The final piece of MDOP news: with less than 22 months left to go before Windows XP end-of-support, and strong application compatibility between Windows 7 and Windows 8, we will not invest in Windows 8 support for Microsoft Enterprise Desktop Virtualization (MED-V). MED-V is an important part of MDOP and customers around the world, such as Applied Materialsand Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd., are using MED-V to smooth their transition from Windows XP to Windows 7 – a more modern version of Windows. If MED-V is part of your Windows modernization plans, there’s no need to stop what you’re doing. MED-V remains supported on Windows 7.

Skip every other Windows version.
Win8
Win Vista
Win CE/ME/NT <-heh, cement
Stick with windows 7, wait for windows 9.
Windows Me...the "More Errors" edition.
I can't stand Windows 8...and the .1 "Blue" turd polish won't change my mind.

I can't stand windows at all
Im still using windows xp. Love it. Highly stable and all my aquired software will not run on any newer windows programs. $1000s of dollars of graphics and vinyl cutting software that I can not replace.
...and XP support ends 4-8-14. No more security patches after that date.

7 is much better than 8. No need to go past 7 until the next one comes out.
I enjoy my 7, and things like this make me inclined to avoid getting 8.
