Register all ammo with local fire authorities and a permint is required for anything over 50 rds.

That is very close to the ammo law in Italy, except the they have maxium limit of 200 rounds, and when you go to the range, an officer has to count how many you shot.

I was more concerned that someone just lost $1000+ worth of ammo and a garage.

    Thanks for posting that video.

At 18:16 it sounds like popcorn. So sad watching/hearing 400k+ rounds of perfectly good ammo burning!

It's amazing that they control each of the fires with water in less than 10 seconds.

The is a difference between deflagration (what guns do) and detonation. Gunpowder Deflagrates.

Deflagration is basically a fast burn of combustible material. A black powder pipe-bomb deflagrates.

Detonation is a supersonic shock via chemical reaction. C4 explodes via shock caused by a detonator.

Thank you for the technical definition. I had forgotten the word "deflagration".

But back to the news story: I'm just concerned that the guy only had 3k rounds in his house... Maybe he only had 1 gun? I would say 3k is a minimum for each gun!
