At 18:16 it sounds like popcorn. So sad watching/hearing 400k+ rounds of perfectly good ammo burning!
It's amazing that they control each of the fires with water in less than 10 seconds.

The is a difference between deflagration (what guns do) and detonation. Gunpowder Deflagrates.So ammo explodes now, huh? That's an interesting development. My physics and chemistry professors taught me that gunpowder does not explode. It just burns. Well, it is "TheDenverChannel" so I guess I better take their word for it.
Deflagration is basically a fast burn of combustible material. A black powder pipe-bomb deflagrates.
Detonation is a supersonic shock via chemical reaction. C4 explodes via shock caused by a detonator.

Thank you for the technical definition. I had forgotten the word "deflagration".
But back to the news story: I'm just concerned that the guy only had 3k rounds in his house... Maybe he only had 1 gun? I would say 3k is a minimum for each gun!
