Yes it is perfectly legal to buy magazines in another state and bring them to CO. As long ad they are 15 round capacity and under for rifles/handguns. or 28" worth of shells or 8 round for shotguns.


Even if they set up a roadblock like a DUI checkpoint you tell them NO. Plus I believe it would be illegal to set up anything other than a DUI checkpoint unless they declare some type of emergency like an abducted kid etc.

Take some legally owned mags with you as well. Pay only in cash.

Hell i might take a box of 30s up there, buy some "CO legal" mags and see what happens. Not breaking the law one bit and it would be interesting to see how it plays out.
