Thanks for all the good info guys. One thing that pisses me off more than anything is congress mandating GPS trackers in phones. I thought it was a bad idea at the time and it turned into a monster.

Even without GPS your location can be determined. Any cellphone is constantly sending data packets to a tower, just triangulate the signal for something within 100yards. GPS provides a more fine location down to 5 yards.



Not just tracking but the whole lawful cellphone interception is scary. That and the fact that hackers can do the same thing with a radio under $200
