Make no mistake, ANY Favorable gun laws passed, or won in the state court will be challenged by a well oiled, well financed MAIG war machine. Social media is their friend, and they control the MSM.
We are David staring down Goliath . Do you sit on the sidelines pissing and moaning how our rights have been eroded, OR do you grab a slingshot and stand United?

Very well said. If you do nothing then you can't complain about the outcome.

Yeah, I've heard the same thing.. Basically if it gets on the ballot and is not voted in this could end up being the nail in the coffin as it would be as you said a "mandate" from the people of colorado.

Could you imagine how that would play out in the National Press? Headline news! Colorado voters overwhelmingly vote in support of gun control and magazine bans in state voter referendum! News at eleven..

I think that the courts are going to side with us on the sheriffs lawsuit however the point of the lawsuit being what is "normal" use will likely mean that a mag ban on over 30 would probably stick in the future.

The leftys are pros at the death by a 1000 papercuts game.. I think we need to start playing the same game. Rather than wasting time trying to pass one law to cover all gun rights at one time (which would never fly) lets just start injecting 1 small law at a time that cements a particular firearms right that by itself would be an easy pass, eventually they will all add up.

This would require the majority of the pro2A group being PROactive & the community seem content with being reactive until all of our rights are successfully eroded away. Every time I see someone come u with a plan to do something proactive there's dozens of people saying why it wont work or why it will.actually HARM our cause. Too smart for our own good & too many people trying to seem like they know it all on social media rather than take action to restore freedoms. That attitude will never get us anywhere other than the path we're already on. Revolution? ROFL. We can't even agree on a bill to back let alone risk life & limb to do the same. We're a fragmented community easy for targeting.

We are a democratic republic. We vote for our representatives. One person, one vote on who represents us. If we were a democracy you would be correct and only majority would rule. As you point out, it could run to current "feelings" of public opinion guiding all decisions. If we were a pure republic, an arostocracy could rule such as during Roman times. If you were not part of the land owning gentry, normally with a political background, you did not have a vote.

This is better.... But not a Republic.
True, i should have added Democratic and i know better. I will still stand my ground and say we should still not vote on everything that comes up because we are not a democracy and i am glad we are not.

    Muddywings, Gilpinguy, 00tec,

Please private message me with what city you live in and I can see if there is a signing function near you.

we will be at the tanner gun show the weekend of the 3rd if anyone can make it.

As for the "voting in worse bills than what we have now argument" they would have to get apx 100,000 signatures just to put it on the ballot (not easy). Also If we don't get this put on the ballot the dems can force feed us an even worse bill if the Sheriffs are successful in their lawsuit. There will be nothing to stop them from getting another bite at the apple.

Exactly what I was wondering. This is your chance to get some steam behind this movement. Were you warned by site staff not to give details for fear of a the conversation being too 'political' or something? Not not, post away.

You make a very valid point. I was trying to be respectful of peoples privacy on the public forum (if that is possible). It was my thought that people may be a little shy about disclosing where they live. Also I don't want to miss a post and end up not informing them of a signing location, these threads can get long.

We will be at the Tanner Gun Show the weekend of the August 3rd/4th if you can make it.

I will make any signing locations and times available, we are trying to setup a web page to let anyone check it any time and not have to wait on me.
