What is the law on buying guns from another state? If I got it right it's like you can sale a gun to non-resident if the gun is complaint to the gun law the the purchaser's state.
    Disclaimer: I can't spell.

Last I checked, the law for FFLs was something like:

1: No direct handgun sales to non-state residents (but you can arrange an FFL to FFL transfer).
2: Direct sales of long arms to non-state residents are fine.
3: It isn't the duty of the FFL to confirm that the long-arm would be legal in the purchaser's home state.

ANY OUT OF STATE / NON RESIDENT MUST BE DONE THROUGH AN FFL

Yes it is OR it's more a basic DO NOT SELL TO STATES.

Non licensees may only purchase guns within their state of residence, except that they may purchase rifles or shotguns from FFLs in other states, provided both their state's laws and the FFL's state's laws permit the sale.

    +1

Q: From whom may an unlicensed person acquire a firearm under the GCA?

A person may only acquire a firearm within the person’s own State, except that he or she may purchase or otherwise acquire a rifle or shotgun, in person, at a licensee’s premises in any State, provided the sale complies with State laws applicable in the State of sale and the State where the purchaser resides. A person may borrow or rent a firearm in any State for temporary use for lawful sporting purposes.

Walmart can't sell you that AR-15 with the 30rd mag, but there should be no reason other than store policy for why they can't sell you a shotgun or whatever.

Walmart can in fact sell you that AR-15 with the 30rd mag. It's up to law-abiding Colorado residents not to bring that cursed death dealing massacre magazine back into the state with them.

Walmart is afraid of selling a high capacity muzzle loader to a Colorado resident!! They're also afraid that you might convert it to full auto.

South Dakota is the same way. They had a sign in the store in Spearfish stating no sales to Colorado residents. But the clerk said there are other states that they can not sell to as well. This was for long guns.

Throwing down a blanket policy on any states with any restrictions. Freaking stupid but cya on their part.
