They're just doing it for attention. They don't have the budget for that. It seams like every podunk town or county tries to one up the other by saying crap like this. Actions are louder than words.

Well, yeah, but still funny (and in terms of budget, considering the fee is $25, and the likelihood that someone'll actually shoot down a drone is basically nil, I think that it is a net win, albeit a small one).

Shooters must use shotguns, 12-gauge or smaller, firing lead, steel or depleted uranium ammunition and they can’t fire on aircraft flying higher than 1,000 (a determination made using a range finder or a best guess). No weapons with rifled barrels allowed, and no tracer rounds.

Who here is hogging the DU shotgun shells? I'm guessing they mean 1000 feet AGL and not ASL.
