    Default AR 15 Forearm Question

I have an Armalite M15A2NM (National Match Rifle) and I'm trying to replace the forearm with a rail system but am having trouble finding the right one. I found a four rail system I really like on CheaperThanDirt but it says the forearm length is 10.7" and when I measure my existing forearm it's about 12". Do I need to match the length or does it matter?

Get a quality rail like a Daniel Defense or a LaRue, and there will be no question about fitment.

Cant say for the chinese shit that CTD sells...

You need a 12 inch one. And like Ridge said, get a quality unit, not some Chinese crap. Larue, DD, Knights Armament to name a few. If price is a big concern, Midwest Industries makes descent units too. Not quite the quality of the top tier, but way better than the Chinese stuff.

Yea, I'm learning I need a 12" "Rifle Length" handrail and saw a nice 4 rail system at Midway for $179.00 - I've been pretty happy with Midway but I'll check out the others too.

    Thanks!

So, another question - I have a Magpul Collapsible Stock for this weapon as well, what's a good sling for that? Since I took off the factory stock I no longer can put a sling on - I still have the barrel standard sling hook but nothing on the stock.

Most magpul stocks will have slits and QD attachment points for slings. Use those. Which magpul stock do you have?

There are two sling slots on the stock you can thread the sling through.
