Detroit bankrupt... this is what happens when liberal policies run your city!

I saw a blurb talking about residents moving away and thus their revenue went down. It's pretty telling what the government thinks of its citizens. We're revenue generators and not much more.

I saw that, -1.1M in like 14 years or so... Why do you think that is? Oh yeah, because they created a hostile work environment there so businesses left, therefore so did the employees. Didn't help that unions aren't cheap, and pretty much ran everything in that city. Couldn't agree more that the Detroit City Gov thinks their citizens are just a meal ticket and funding for their liberal pet projects.

Sad to see this, though I had always been pretty sure it was inevitable.

Same here- I figured it was only a matter "when" not "if" with Detroit. Anyone care to place bets on who's next? I got $1 on Chicago or Baltimore.
