One of three survived. Didn't get a thank you from the guy or his family for it, but the PD recognized it.
“Every good citizen makes his country's honor his own, and cherishes it not only as precious but as sacred. He is willing to risk his life in its defense and is conscious that he gains protection while he gives it.” Andrew Jackson

A veteran is someone who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank check made payable to 'The United States of America ' for an amount of 'up to and including my life.'

That is Honor, and there are way too many people in this country who no longer understand it.

I get refresher training annually. No way do I feel qualified to actually administer it.

x2, but never as part of CPR. Just as respiratory support on an ACLS call.
    Never full blown CPR.

It has been > 10 years, but I loved it out of pharmacy school in residency. Playing with all the toys they'd never, ever let you use was awesome.
Went to more codes than I could recall - but all I ever did, obviously, was medications.

I don't even have a basic non-provider CPR card anymore....

I was an LEO for 27+ years. I've done CPR more times then I care to remember. Everyone from infants to people in their 80s. CPR is good but the AED saves way more lives.

Yep. I was just updating software on a bunch of LP500's today. Another thing. If you have an AED at work check the dates on the pads. All will tell you that the battery needs replaced but I changed out 3 sets of pads today that expired in 2006.

dried up pads will do you no good.
I see you running, tell me what your running from

Nobody's coming, what ya do that was so wrong.

I caught the soon-to-expire pads when I changed out the battery pack.
I will not abide this abomination. (1224)

Many, many times. Outside of work (and thus universal precautions) I have and will never use my mouth though, Hands only!

Many more times than I wish I had. I would be happy to never see another dead person in my life but in my line of work it's not likely.
