Truck only, had the camper already. My 28 year old GMC doesn't like heat or pulling long steep hills. (vapor lock) No radio, no AC, no comfy seats.
Been there, was a successful weekend. Only one bad thing, I have to return the truck in the morning.
Enterprise Rental, GMC, Dodge, Ford, Crew Cabs, long or shotbox, Gas or Diesel. I'm glad they started doing this. Way worth the $350 or so, I will have total costs in the morning.
I can rent the truck several times a year and the cost will probably only be equal to a couple payments on one new one. Win Win.
No Dual Band in there either :-(
If your going to do it that way you need a bigger trailer.I went from my Dakota to the 98 ram diesel when I knew I was going to go over 20'. My 24' is 6500 and my old truck pulls it just fine.
