    Default Suppressors

I have a suppressed JP AR-15 with Zeiss optics. I tore it down and cleaned it after my last shoot, including removing the suppressor. I took it out today to shoot a few dogs and could'nt hit squat. Came back to my range and it was shooting 4" to the left. Now the Questions: Do I have to sight my rifle in every time I remove the suppressor for a cleaning??? Do I have to remove the suppressor every time I clean my rifle??
Any help from you all would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanx

I have not experienced any issues when shooting after cleaning. What or how are you reattaching the suppressor, what suppressor is it ?

Might be too obvious for you to have noticed in the moment (we've all been there), but are you sure everything is tightened down with the scope? Double check it to make sure the scope hasn't loosened for some reason.

Another place to check is make sure the barrel nut on the upper is tightened, that is assuming its a somewhat new rifle. Another member here had problems with a really loose barrel nut recently so that just pops in my head (but if you've shot it before, ignore this because unless your gas tube has been sheared off, the barrel nut most likely wouldn't be loose).

I have no experience regarding the suppressor, though I hope to get at least one within the next 3-5yrs.

    Not enough info .

What is " torn down " for cleaning field stripping , detail stripping , scope off , etc. ?

What scope mount is being used ?

    What can is it ?

Single point or qd attachment ?

Is it an " indexable " qd mount ?

In general, a screw-on can may shift your POI differently each time it is removed and replaced (and to some extent, cleaned). Unless it is kept at the exact same mass, tightened to the same tension, and indexed to the same mark, it will change barrel harmonics, and that can affect the fine-tune on your POI.

4" off? (presuming 100yd range) - should not shift that much, and something larger is at work, like maybe a loose barrel nut, or debris inside the can is destabilizing the bullet as it passes through?
