I also heard that from friends who still had relatives and friends in Arkansas. I also remember talking with a USAF E-8 who voted for Clinton in 1992. His rationale was that Clinton said he'd push to let gays in the military and Gen McPeak (then CSAF) had said he'd resign if that happened so voting for Clinton meant getting rid of McPeak ...
