    Default storage question

my wife and i are in the process of building a house. it will probably be done in a year. we are going to have a big home gym and i am looking at a few really, really good deals on weight equipment that might be too good to pass up. sadly, i now live in a tiny condo and don't have storage room for it all. places like u-store it charge 50-100 dollars per month to store stuff and the area isn't even that big. does anyone know other alternatives, or is that pretty much it?

be patient and wait until you're in the new place. CL has weight equipment all the time. For what you would pay now on a "good deal" you will end up paying out on storage.

well the only trick is I am looking at $12k in equipment from a fitness center in extremely good condition for $2k. those types of deals don't come along often. heck the leg press machine alone sells for 2k and this is basically and entire gym. for the typical home gym type equipment I agree. this is all commercial grade though.

So 2K for equipment that is worth 12K. 100 a month in storage is 1200 if you are ready to move it in a year giving you 3200 for equipment you would normally pay 12K for.

Best way to get in to see me at the shop is to call or email Shannon and make an appointment.

the issue is simple. I am looking for an option cheaper than 1200 if anyone knows of one. would you spend 1200 just on a whim? when there is possibly a 400, 600 or 800 dollar option? better to ask now than go ahead and find out later. is it a good deal either way? sure.

If you can't find another option, get the package, get the storage unit, then sell your least favorite machine to make up for the cost. Work the right deal and you can have enough money to replace that one machine.

Got a buddy with a house that would store it for you for being able to use it? Then you could possibly get some use out of it also, instead of just stashing it.
    Just a thought.

juat buy one of these sets when you are ready. Above set, running shoes and a bicycle will get you in great shape and it will save you room too.
With the extra 2k you saved you can supplement it with yoga, 24 hr or adventure race memberships.
    Goold luck finding cheap storage

Who's that guy here that was trying to rent out his garage? Might work out something with him.

And I was paying over $100/mo. on a tiny unit that you couldn't even fit a Jeep tub in. It was small. Self-storage places are gold mines.
