Questions on Larue LT719 Rings

DISCLAIMER: I will post pics of MY mount later tonight...

I got some LaRue LT719 rings in a trade.
I know and trust the guy I got them from, but he is not the 1st owner and got them from someone else.

I am not real familiar with LaRue rings. I have a LaRue Aimpont mount that I am using as a reference.

I am wondering if they are not "copies".

Things that don't seem right:
1) Finish seems "gritty"...not rough or splotched, but a bit tactile...even on the inside of the rings that contact the scope tube. Both areas, outside and inside are of the same finish. Typically, I've seen the "insides" machined VERY smooth on most "precision" rings that claim to not need lapping.
(This item bothers me the most...)

2) Bottom of the levers are "plain" (like Pic #1, marking "C") as does this picture I found on the web.

The DO have "USA" and "LT719 LARUE" stamped in (Like Pic #2, B)
They DO NOT have "The Larue/Texas logo, Patened, Made in USA" like pic #2, A)

Could be just mine are an older generation (as my Aimpoint mount does not have the logo either) ?

3) I DID get a small sealed pouch with the adjustment wrench, a vial of blue LocTite, extra screw, and a LaRue tan cardboard insert

Note: the gray stuff above is a lubricant. It reminds me of the molybdenum anti-seize compound used for disc brakes.

They look real to me, just like all of mine.

Looks right to me, too. The silver grease is the same stuff mine had.

Does the surface of the inside of the rings (where the scope goes) feel any differnt than the outside ?

I would not think ChiCom knock offs would not have the correct steel thread inserts as well.

Email those pics to LaRue, They are a stand-up company, I would think they would be happy to authenticate for you.

Then post the reply here so we all can get educated.

After all is said and done, they are being deemed "legit"...just older. They seem to have been made during a "transitional" period, when the model was being updated and have some features from and older, and newer version of the same ring model.
