At this point in the debate and the recall process, I suspect that there are few minds that can be changed. It takes months, years and even decades to change people's minds. Consequently, the political landscape in the Morse and Giron recalls is fairly well established and unlikely to change. What does that mean? In the short-term, it means that pro-2A people have to get out the vote in those districts, counter false advertising by the Morse/Giron campaigns and make sure that every single voter who is in favor of the recall gets to the polls. We will not be able to change any "guns are the problem" people's minds in time, but two facts are highly encouraging. First, an overwhelming number of people signed the recall petitions, indicating high interest and likely high turnout in the election. Second, many of the recall petition signers were in fact Democrats. If memory serves, something on the order of 22% of the Morse recall signatures were from Democrats.
If you live in Morse's or Giron's district, get a carpool going and get as many pro-2A voters to the polls as you can!
