I went through a similar thing a few months ago selling a rifle. Jim offered some awesome advice and I avoided a really bad transaction.

It's funny how LEO get all butt hurt when they aren't exempt from the retarded legislation over in NY. Maybe next time they'll be a little more vocal next time instead of just following party lines their unions tell them to follow and keep quiet.

One thing to consider as well, our current law prohibits transfer of mags in excess of 15 rounds. I would have to read the latest interpretation of this mess, but it may possibly be unlawful to transfer them even to an out of state party, LE or not.

Besides, way too easy for this to be a sting from a Bloomberg dolt.

Not only no, but Hayyylll no!

Our stupid law did not even exempt FFLs - only magazine manufacturers. As far as I can tell, it's illegal for even an FFL to possess, store or transport magazines over 15 rounds they did not possess before 7/1/13, nor to receive, transfer or sell those magazines, even to exempt parties such as LE, unless they happen to be a magazine manufacturer, too.

This is the message I sent him.

Sorry I missed your earlier message.

I was initially very conflicted about this because I could really use the money(My wife is gonna chew my ass!) , but I can not violate my principles based on the sole determination that you carry a badge. I believe firmly that "All men are created equal" and I believe that applies to citizens and public servants alike. I do not believe in "exemptions" handed down by a bunch of authoritarian criminals when it comes to the 2nd amendment.

Simply put, if your laws are changed to espouse the ideals that this country was founded on, I would be happy to sell you the mags.

I thank you for your servitude to your fellow citizens and hope that maybe messages like these might find their way onto police chiefs' desks.

    Sincerely
    Bryan X. XXXXXXX

Unless i am mistaken based on the current Colorado law I believe it is illegal for you to resell them even out of state anyway unless you have the proper license and they are going to an authorized recipient.. just sayin.

The new law does not state anything about selling magazines, only possessing them. You can sell all your magazines to people outside of Colorado if you want.
