    Default Another new range?

So a bit back I was hearing about a fairly nice shooting range supposed to be going up in central or northern colorado. (With actual nice targets and equipment.) Forget the details though. Then I've also heard about a new police training range co built by Loveland/Ft Collins.

Here's a new one that the infamous tactical ninja from my work (and the video thread) sent me. Assuming it wasn't the first one I mentioned. That it's USA Liberty doesn't enthuse me. And at 18 million with a built in restraunt etc and a complete underground shooting range? Makes me wonder where'd the capitol for this come from as well as how is that going to be profitable. I'm sure there would be decent business being in the city area rather than the stix. But still 18 mill to pay off before seeing profit?

The membership fees would have to be through the roof. I'd be amazed if construction even starts.

As convenient as it would be it'll never happen, the return will be far to long and finding financial backing would be tough to find at best.

Many have tried, many have failed. There are but two ranges in the country that have made it with that business model. The one in Texas is pretty cool, but they are in a metropolis of 7 million people, more than the total population of Colorado...

Scottsdale was built in 2004 for just over 8 million, and with a metropolis of about 4 million, yes just a tad under the CO state population, and a lot of disposable income and heat driving people indoors, it has been successful, but not devoid of financial peril.

But it is a nice pipe dream.

Yeah and Centennial was supposed to be the next Scottsdale. And I refuse to go there.

Funny to look back at old threads like this. "It'll never happen."

    Holy crap dude...

We get it, you have a hard on (good or bad, I don't care) for LFI.

Must you resurrect EVERY thread about it? The other one is 1.5 years old, this one is 5 years old...

    Move on...
