I also remember a story of the AG suing the state police for the FOID records so she could see who had expired FOIDs and then go raid their homes to confiscate the guns and arrest the owners for unlawful possession.

Makes you wonder about our state , having its own background division instead of using the Federal system. I bet they have good data to be ready to go after that depressed senior citizen.
