Yep. Got a call from a local police supply shop saying my Smith & Wesson M&P 9mm was in. $489.52 out the door with night sights. I was happy, regardless the 7-month back order. Now, prefacing it with this; I am a civilian who works for a police agency. The shop knew that going into the sale. After showing them a copy of my ID and drivers license everything seemed to be moving along quite nicely. 4473 filled out, backgound check passed....and then I get this: "Well, we have a problem." Because I am a civilian employee for a police agency they can sell me the firearm, but not the three 17-round magazines it comes with - can't "block" them to 15, sorry, no-can-do. So, the three magazines have to go back to S&W and replaced with 10-round magazines - No ETA on their arrival but I'm guessing sometime next year.

Now, I completely understand the law and the owner did the right thing. I'm just bitching and moaning because this law is garbage and it sucks to have a new gun in my safe that I can't go shoot. Not looking for sympathy, just ranting.
