It is said that Osama bin Laden said after he saw America tuck its tail between its legs and run away from Somalia after a helicopter crash (Black Hawk Down ... which was actually a successful mission despite the good men lost) he realized that America was a "paper tiger" and thus he began his planning a direct attack on the US using multiple hijacked airplanes as missiles to take down buildings (sound familiar?).

These people respect strength and only strength.

And yeah, I'm blaming 9/11 on Clinton.
Go ahead, I blame Clinton for 9/11 as well. He was a limp noodle when it came to foreign policy- the situation in Somalia was, as General Garrison testified before congress, "More complicated than anyone in the Pentagon or USASOC anticipated." What did Clinton do? Pulled us out. Rwanda happens just 3 short years later. What did Clinton do? Refuse to call it genocide until two years later. Two US Embassies bombed in Africa. What did Clinton do? Cruise missile strikes on camps in Afghanistan that had next to no operational intel on them. We could have gone after Bin Laden in 1997, '98, or even '99. Did Clinton even try? Hell no. Limp wrist administrations always leave a big mess for folks like Bush to clean up. Love him, hate him, W did more to advance our reputation as someone not to mess with than Clinton ever could, and Obama is just taking us down the same road as Clinton- except he has more drone strikes.

So, if it's real, it's real. If it's not, color me NOT surprised when nothing "happens".
Yep. Distract, it's the name of the game. It kind of reminds me of that Dave Chappelle stand up (despite being a dig on Republicans)... "Michael Jackson, yeah, the uh war, it's not going to well for us right now, we need a distraction. We're gonna need you to touch a kid again."
