A little too much work..
Not really worth the $200 tax stamp for an SBR ... guess you could make one with a 16" barrel to get around that (or leave the stock off so its a pistol).
Anyway, nifty proof-of-concept. Lets see what happens when future generations of 3D printers use metal instead of plastic though.

Does he not realize that is considered a SBR and needs a stamp? Or did he buy one for it and just didn't mention it?
But, $200 tax stamp for 14 shots before the rifle starts breaking is a little on the expensive side. Definitely cost more than shooting 50bmg since its about $14.28 per round then the gun breaks. Regardless, its still amazing technology!
I have little interest in that particular one he was shooting, but am glad to see ingenuity and diversity appearing out there... eventually a good one will come about.

That plastic will not withstand repeated firing from any caliber hotter than 32 ACP . . . and even that will break eventually.
It won't take long for ceramics to be incorporated where needed...

Yep, there is a company called liquid metal (which I buy stock in) that supposedly will have 3d printable metal soon...
