    Default Buffalo?

Where is a good place to go if a person wanted to take photos of buffalo? -preferably with a very plain/flat background?

there's the buffalo herd overlook off I70 near genesee. there's usually bison there. it's not flat, but it's not super sloped. there are trees there, so this may not be what you're looking at in any way.

Montana, but it's kind of a hike...

The spot on 70 near genesse can actually be pretty good if they're in the right place, definitely worth a look.

if you're up for a road trip, there are plenty in and around the parks near Mt. Rushmore.

my cousin has buffalo at Erie/Dacono and Grover. Just south of the race track at Erie. Im sure they will let you take pictures.
at least I think he still keeps a herd at Erie.

Take I-70 east to Byers, then head east on US36. About 6-8 miles out, there's a big buffalo ranch that usually has an assload of them in pastures on both sides of the road. And it's as flat as Hannah Storm out there.
There's a lot more of us ugly mf'ers out here than there are of you pretty people!

Yeah, I've seen the odd one or two next to the Dream Stream (they somehow hopped the fence...) but wasn't sure that was a sure enough bet to load up the photo gear and go for a drive. I'm not opposed to distance but would like some subjects upon arrival.
