I know several guys that have the same image along the names, initials or dates. It's not just a symbol to a lot of folks. It's the last representation they had of friends. If you haven't stood in those formations, I think it would be an inappropriate tattoo.

    While this is you guys "opinion" following that train of thought all those folks i put POW / MIA ink on should not have done it. Honoring our fallen is done in many ways. I would suggest, as i did previously. The son get some lettering along these lines. It shows respect and acknowledges his appreciation for this Country and it's fallen

    Having just the Boots & M-16 would lead me to believe as a veteran, he served. That alone could cause issues, maybe, maybe not. Depends who he runs in to.
