Looks like a Saiga 12 and a Savage bolt rifle were his firearms.

    Sounds like suicide by cop.

"The first cop drove up. He jumped out, and he told the other cop to 'grab a long rifle,'" neighborhood resident Henry Frye said.

    Not the "Assault Rifle", strange.

Casualties minimal, murderer pushing up daisies...no cops harmed. Turned out pretty damn good considering.

"Denver Police tweeted at 11:16 a.m. that the shooter was "down." The gunman was taken to the hospital in critical condition."

The police tweet now? The world gets lamer every day.

I thought it was silly at first too. But it's nice for things such as amber alerts, dangerous situations, etc. Not everyone watches the news but you better believe people check their twitter 9 times a min. It allows the residents to have real time heads ups on situations in their community.

Twitter is stupid for celebrities, but for public service announcements, there is no faster way to get the word out to the maximum number of people.
