Yeah. I got to hear about stuff, but not what they did. Granted it was the first day of school and the first thing I heard was that there was NO WORK!

It was my kids first day at school.
We get a report of everyday activities by TA on her folders.
We were concerned about her eating habit at a school cafeteria.
They even wrote that she ate almost all her chicken nugget at a cafeteria.

    DADDD !!
just wait till you visit her school, then have her ask you to not come back cause you "embarrassed" her. I did like volunteering for field trips. ALL RIGHT KIDS line up and count off, you, you're # 1 go. No one ever hassled me about CCW, cause it was CONCEALED !

My oldest (pre-school last year, Kindergarten now) usually gives me we had "FUN!" maybe minor details about one thing that was good. No details on what the whole day was about.

The youngest Pre-school last year as well and his favorite word last year was "poo poo", so everything was "poo poo" when asked about his day. Although he thinks saying "poo poo" was funny so even if you asked him what he wanted to eat, if he thought to be funny the answer was "poo poo."

Recently the fav word changed to "Coconut" briefly until he stopped doing the one word "i am funny phrase."

We will see what this year brings, neither one has started yet.

Naturally, it may be used by evil men for evil purposes, but there are more good men than evil, and while the latter cannot be persuaded to the path of righteousness by propaganda, they can certainly be corrected by good men with rifles. --Jeff Cooper"

My oldest is 5 also and started school today. Already got a email from the teacher saying he did not want to participate in several activities and the class photo. Of course he doesn't want to talk about it. Argh! Not what I was hoping for on the first day of school.

9 years ago on my son's 1st day of Kindergarden he said screw it and walked out to head home, school was about 8miles from home and they caught with him about 1/2 mile from the school.
I did the same thing as did my older brother, it must be genetic.

Day two I got a note from the teacher saying my daughter was misbehaving. Same day the afterschool ladies told me she was hitting other kids. Sigh. She is doing better this week. Part of it all was she is used to rough housing with dad and you cant do that at school. The other part was it was a rude shock to be away from family from 0630 till 1745 when I pick her up. Rough day for the munchkin.
