    Default Just wondering...

I'm standing in my driveway enjoying a couple of beers.. See two police cars pull up to a house that is in the process of being built with a crew of hispanic workers framing the house.. The officers ask for ID on atleast two of the workers from what I could see.. I after, ask the workers what it was about since I have a met them before on a few occations. The officers told them there was someone stealing gold in the neihbor hood.. I think this is a strech... who knows... thoughts???

How much gold is in Thornton?

Sounds like a lame excuse to check their ID's...........

Stealing gold sounds like a stretch. Being construction I could see them asking around about cooper being stolen, but gold doesn't make sense.

Sounds like the cops are profiling. I used to build houses and worked with many mexicans, not only were they great hard workers but some of the most honest, caring and intelligent people I have ever met.

I as well.. and agree with you.. besides community is kind of connected, meaning no one here seems to not not tell everyone else what's going on.. so I know it didn't happen here..

Maybe they are looking for the ones who worked around my neighborhood when our house was being built. Neighbors keep was stolen, 1 of the construction guys roofing my house was arrested for that one. The neighbors house had a stolen car stashed in the garage when she came to check the progress one day.
Two blocks down several of the guys were arrested for stolen vehicles, and lots of stolen tools. They would park the cars several blocks away then walk to the house they were working on.
Who knows how much copper and other stuff was taken. I had a water cooler stolen from me when they were redoing my window wells. The next day I watched them the entire time.
All I have in this world is my balls and my word and I don't break em for no one.

Yeah, it sucks. The cops actually getting out of their cars to conduct a few field interviews with guys who typically work around places being impacted by crime. I'm sure it's not possible at all for a language barrier to cause confusion on what, exactly, they were looking for. They should've stayed in their cars and minded their own business. [/sarcasm]

Just leave them alone. Let them do the jobs the American people don't want to do.
