All the Winchester boxes were on that huge shelf over by the shotgun shells. They were on the 2nd shelf and packed in the middle so they weren't easy to see unless you knew where they were. I just happened to see a guy with a box and asked where he found them. It's possible they could have just been put out when we got them and went quickly.

I did begin to think it might be a good idea to have a pistol in 10mm or revolver in .41 Mag. They had some ammo for those.

I stopped in at Lone Tree around 1800 or so. It wasn't too bad as far as people goes. . There was 5.56, a lot of it and at reasonable for the times prices. Not much in the reloading shelves. I grabbed 2 boxes of 175gr FGMM and 2 boxes of PRVI 149gr ball to feed the new LMT. I didn't look too much.

Have a retired gun loving friend who goes in every day. He noted that the Lone Tree store had 550,000 rounds of 22 in the 550 round boxes. It was gone by evening on Monday. They did have huge stocks for the opening but now its down to what comes on the trucks. Also noted that several of Tanner table people and a few gun store folks are seen with carts at the store. Two of the Tanner guys were noted to be rotating going in and out to get by the box limit. Now my friend does keep me and others well stocked, but if I did not have him I would be screwed on getting ammo as of late. Lot of Tanner and gun store guys stalking the Walmarts and Cabellas now.

FYI heard a worker at cabelas say they are not aloud to tell people what's on the trucks or supposed to be arriving until it comes onto the floor... So even if the truck is being unloaded they are not aloud to tell people...

also no powder or 22lr today...ok that's a lie they got in 3 boxes... Yes 3 boxes of some sort of value pack 22lr but was gone ASAP... Which I didn't care because I wasn't there for that but just giving you guys a heads up... Also for primers it was large rifle 4 boxes, small pistol.... A lot, and small rifle quite a few.... Lots of ammo... Besides 22

today was my first time in... Didn't even buy anything.... Pretty sure that's my first time in a cabelas not buying anything... Feels strange

Well, unlike Wal-Mart or Bass Pro, you can order ammo online at Cabela's and have it shipped to the store and avoid hazmat and shipping fees. Plus, at least at the Thornton store, they have a really cool mountain lion leaping off of the shelf and over your head

Hearing the puma repeatedly got old quick in my first and only Cabela's visit. I wonder if the guys working the handgun counter learn to ignore it.
