Made a quick trip up to the Lone Tree Cabelas this morning. They had a "doorbuster sale" from 0800-1200. I picked up a pair of Rocky 800gram thinsulate Gor-Tex hunting boots for myself & a pair for my son (the ones I've been wearing are 15 years old), a 4pk of wool socks, a rifle sling with swivels, ultrasonic cleaner & big bottle of solution, and a pair of everyday hiking boots - all for $360. All of it would normally have cost about $675. Been needing, but putting off, everything but the ultrasonic cleaner & solution but I've been wanting those for a long time. All-in-all, I think I did okay.

I still need to get my son a good hunting coat, gloves and a pack, but otherwise he's almost completely geared up to finally join me elk hunting this rifle season.
