    Default Muzzleloading

Anyone here into muzzleloading ... The season is in a few weeks. Got a bear tag so I can hunt with a friend who pulled an elk tag...

    Get a hold of "Palepainter".
He's into frontstuffers and can give you some hints.

I go muzzleloader every year I get a tag. I got cow elk and buck this year. I'm very excited for the season, especially since I didn't draw last year and went archery instead.

IF i could acquire the powder for it, i'd get another Ruger Old Army.

I have plenty of powder if I ever head up that way. I don't shoot Pyrodex. I mainly shoot Goex, but have won quite a bit of other stuff that just sits around. I have been into muzzleloading since before I was born. My mother was at a black powder shoot competing the day before I was born.

I do a lot of black powder shooting, but have not hunted with inline yet. Everything I have is old school.

I have been shooting muzzleloader for 20 years now. I hunt with a flintlock, Hawkins style full stock .54. My wife has hunted with a .54 caplock then we got her a modern inline because they are lighter weight. I luv the smell of blackpowder in the morning ......
