Serving size, 1/2 cup. In Keto, it is the carbs that are usually counted. So there are 12 carbs per 2 cups of cottage cheese (1 container). That's one of the better brands of cottage cheese that I've seen- it has Celtic sea Salt, which contains trace minerals.

About a month into Keto, I was on a cheat day, and someone had made a from scratch cake, so I indulged, the side effects were truly staggering, THE worst crash I've ever experienced, paired with terrible headache and nausea. That was the day I realized how bad that crap was for me. I might take in 15-20 grams of sugar a day now, and my energy is amazing (even on 5-6 hours of sleep).

Yeah that's definitely better than the cottage cheese I was looking at.

    Awesome thank you!

No promises, as spare time seems to be a luxury these days, but if I get a chance I'll post a whole slew of resources that my buddy has shared with me, who is very serious into Keto and fitness (he looks like a shorter version of The Rock). In these resources are desserts and substitutes for just about everything you can think of.

I went to Golden Corral (family choice), had two ceasar salads, pepperoni and roast beef. That's a success in my book.

I've been on (and off) keto for two years. I had lost 95lbs at one point but have gained 20 back on while lifting the last year. It's become an excuse to eat crap once or twice a week and this thread has motivated me to get back on track.

Been doing this what... 6 weeks now? Cannot recall exactly.

Anyway, I'm seemingly stuck at 170 lbs. I figure I'll have to now add morning PT to the mix. I've lost somewhere between 10-15 pounds since starting this. Have not done a bit of exercise, so that's simply from changing what I eat.

For the first time in 2 years, I put on 2 of my 3 piece suits yesterday on a whim. Previously, there was NO WAY I would fit in either. 1 is slightly uncomfortable, but will be fine after another 5-10 pounds. The other is fine, but will be more fine after 5-10 pounds. Realistically, 155 or 160 is doable for me not only to achieve, but to maintain.

We are in the same boat weight wise, I'm pretty much stuck at 170. I recently started a consistent weight training program after pretty much doing cardio exclusively, so I'll likely gain some more back, but I'm to the point now where I'm focusing strictly on aesthetics (while still keeping fitness in mind). I want that six pack back (not just beer) lol.

Yeah, but aren't you like 5'11 or something? 170 ain't bad for tall guys.

170 still puts my 5'5" self in fatty mcfatfat land in my book

Tonight's dinner is sauteed asparagus/mushrooms, diced green chili burgers (mix into the meat) topped w/ blue cheese.

When used for leftovers, the blue cheese melts nicely in the microwave.

A good side to replace the asparaguy would be sliced avocado w/ salt/pepper, or any seasoning of your choice.
