I'm also doing the keto, kind of the "lazy" style. Been working great.

    So recipe ideas: PIZZA!!!

Pretty damn good, and cooks up quick. Doesn't have any "fake" taste that I can tell.

For breakfast, basically crepes... also pretty tasty.

Thanks a lot for that pizza recipe! Tried it tonight and wow it was tasty. Likely won't be having it any other way, if making it at home. That almond flour is a pretty penny tho.

    Great pics!

My wife doesn't care for the almond flour that much, so I've actually cut the amount in half on the recipe, and still comes out great.

I'm 6 weeks into doing keto. I keep my carbs under 20 95% of the time and have lost 34 pounds. If you're looking to lose weight, read up on the keto diet. It works and I don't have to starve on chicken breasts and salad.

    Good work!

Getting to the gym has never been a problem for me, as I've been consistently working out 5 days a week for the better part of 8 years or so, but I have to commend you on squaring away your diet, that's much tougher than dragging yourself to the gym IMO. With that said, since moving to evening shift, I've lost at least ten pounds, just by cutting most carbs off around 3pm, and eating clean the rest of the day, with higher carb intake pre and post workout (in the morning). It's much tougher eating right for me when I'm at home with the family at night, way easier to order a pizza or something after wife and I have been working all day, and have two little ones to feed and get ready for bed.

Thanks. I've been doing IF, eating between 11a and 5p daily. I find that if I get the macros in that I need I don't get hungry outside of those hours. I'm going to ride this out for a couple more months before I start thinking about lifting again. My wife has been extremely supportive, making sure that we have healthy meals together. That's been the key. Before we would do the easiest thing possible. Now we're saving money and becoming healthier together.

    Roger,
First, keep up the fighting spirit and on the track to better health. My father is in a similar situation and I know you have a hard task ahead of you.
Please don't take my advice for the gospel but when my father was having a lot of complications I turned to a trusted Dr/RD who gave me some guidance: Meats are a great source of protein but vegetarian sources are easier on the body to digest and make sure your meats are of a quality lean sources. I also noticed RD are the redhead stepchildren who gets rarely used but reach out to you Dr and request help from a dietician if needed.

    Again best of luck!

Thanks for that pizza recipe above. Going to try that one. Always looking for good gluten free recipes. Been 99% (need a real beer every now and then) for 8 months. Down 30 lbs. I've about bottomed out on diet. Need to start getting my ass back to the gym. Just not enough hours in the day!
