16" barrel AR platforms
Are there any military using 16" AR-15 platforms? I saw a photo of IDF soldier holding a M4 with a barrel that appears really long, but I'm not sure.

Most countries who use the AR platform will have weapons with different length barrels. Most use 16" or shorter for tactical, but the M16A2 has a 20" barrel and was standard issue in the US military for thirty years. There are some who will make even a 24" barrel for a designated marksmen role. Most civilian side 24" barrels here are made for lighter varmint rounds though.
