Linksys will cap your speed long before Comcast will. Make sure you switch to a Netgear or a D-link if you are using a Linksys.

Must have been what we were paying for.

Yes Milliken is Baja, which just got bought out again a few months ago. Generally their internet is pretty good, not as good as Comcast but way better then century link. I have Baja at home for my free cable but I don't have internet. What's wrong with your Baja?

    Outrageous cost.

Have had some outages on rare occasion. Struggling more with roomates router I probably need to replace. I let him handle stuff at our new location. I need to probably jump in and do it myself since he still refers to internet as "wifi" and doesn't understand a lot of these things. (He and I are still fighting over him thinking a sump pump in the house would be "2watts"."....

Not sure what you mean by that blanket statement regarding a brand. I have a Linksys Router at home and it in no way is the bottleneck in my network.

I contracted to them for a couple years when they first launched internet service in most of the areas. As a company as far as management and funding they were a joke and I was always amazed when their stuff worked. But amazingly their internet has become pretty fast and reliable. They have a few dedicated technicians! Upgrading the system every couple years to keep up with demands and wants costs a lot of money.

Linksys/Cisco is crap as a general rule of thumb and cause a lot of problems. So maybe their are a few good ones but again as a rule of thumb.

I don't know if you noticed, but Belkin bought Linksys from Cisco. As much as I hate Cisco's software, their gear powers much of the networking world. Linksys has made some really good products in my experience, your mileage may vary.
