Thats just crazy talk! Why would you need that many? They should be limited to 2 "for the children". 1 to see if it stops the 5 bad guys trying to rape you and cut off your ding ding, and the other to end your suffering if it doesn't stop them.

Thanks for all the replies. We will keep Comcast Internet regardless of what we do with cable. I think someone mentioned X1 a white back. Anyone else using X1.

It's the DVR size that concerns me. I have 1TB drives in my current DVRs. I've heard there are plans to allow external storage at some point in CO.

Their is also a cloud coming soon. With on demand do you really need more then 500Gb? 5 tuners to record at a time on any channel any time (yes you can set 5 from a terminal). You can sink WiFi keyboards and stuff to them, the apps are limited right now but hopefully will be growing quickly. They are a pain to setup, your wiring has to be good, but if they are installed correctly its pretty cool.

both of out DVRs are sitting about 70% with no overlap. I'd have to check ondemand to see if the episodes I have saved are on there.

Do you know of they're going to go to usage based billing for cloud DVR? Something like $10 per 100GB per month?

Looks like there are about half a dozen board members here that work for Dish/Echostar
