Default Put It To The People - Colorado Constitutional Amendment

    All,

If you already know about this petition by Put It To The People (PITTP), then please forgive this re-post. However, I only recently discovered this petition movement and wanted to bring it to your attention.

Two citizens, Tim LeVier and JT Davis, both of Littleton, Colorado started the effort to place on the ballot a measure to counter the recently enacted magazine ban. According to PITTP, there goal is "If enough registered Colorado voters sign this petition, this measure will be placed on the ballot in 2014 'as a proposed change to the Constitution of Colorado'. We intend that this gun rights amendment in effect will repeal HB-13-1224, a new law that limits magazine capacity including any 'readily convertible' magazines and requires 'continuous possession' thereof — subsequently making transfer of ownership illegal."

In my view, PITTP's petition is another method to remove the ill-conceived, unforceable and ineffective magazine ban. Yes, there is the Sheriffs' lawsuit, the ongoing recall elections for state senators Morse and Giron, but we should not stop there.

Please take a few minutes to review PITTP's website at http://putittothepeople.wordpress.com/, and if it makes sense for you, find a way to sign their petition. I plan on signing this weekend.

    Thanks - JVC

These gentlemen were just on the Rosen show. (8-22-2013) They mentioned that some 35+ retailers had the petition in their stores to sign. It would be helpful if these were posted so folks would know where to go to sign.

They are posted but I went by Paradise Sales yesterday to sign it and they did not have a petition yet. They are listed as a place to sign but nothing to sign.

Since the Cabella's are flooded with people, perhaps it would be a good venue to setup some sort of signing station: Sign a slip of paper and drop it in a box ?
