Stupid? In many ways I believe he is; yet in many more ways I know he is not. He's certainly crafty, deceitful and underhanded. There should be no argument there.

As others have implied, if you can appeal to the sub-conscience, you can slowly, but effectively, change peoples beliefs and perceptions.

Remember, the Force has a strong influence on the weak-minded!
