I'm so sorry to read this, my deepest condolences. I'd be devastated to lose one of our dogs. Threads like this are one of the tough things about hanging out on forums, yet they help us learn. I've learned from this one.
There's a lot more of us ugly mf'ers out here than there are of you pretty people!

My condolences. I know how it feels. Ive had two of our family's dogs pass in the past couple years. Im not even looking forward to leaving my working dog here.
That's terrible news! So sorry. There is nothing quite like losing a little four legged buddy.
Where in TX are you? I'm here and hate it too.
Another message of condolences.
I lost a beloved dog from a nasty little pathogen in the soil myself (not parvo). It really is the worst. At least you were there at the end, and gave it the best life possible.
Sorry for your loss, pets are much family as people.
Thanks for all of your support guys, it's much appreciated.
I'm in Perryton, only about 7 miles off the Texas border to the north. I miss Colorado for so many different
reasons at this point, gun laws there be damned, but I seriously miss my home state no matter how much more "freedom" we have here... or, maybe it's just this city.......

Are you farming corn out there?
I've lived in 3 different metro areas in TX. I don't think I'd ever want to live in the panhandle. Still kicking around the idea of moving back and the hill country is probably where we'll go if we head south.
The Piney Woods in east TX are interesting, but don't think I want the extra humidity.
Sorry about the pup.
