Anyone do stamped concrete / decorative overlay work?

I’m looking for someone who knows what they’re doing and can tell me what’s going on here. We had concrete overlay done on our patio when we moved in 2 years ago and us and our neighbor are having the same problem (we used the same landscaper). We’re getting cracks in the overlay with white powdery seepage, if you knock on the overlay it also has a hollow sound to it. The underlying concrete patio is part of the foundation and had months to cure before we ever moved in. The cracking started a few months after it was installed and has only gotten worse. We've tried to work with the landscaper but at this point we're both pretty fed up with excuses.

The landscaper is saying that it’s perfectly normal and refusing to fix anything but our other neighbor who used a different landscaper (done at the same time) has none of the issues we're seeing.

I’ll happily pay someone for their time to come out and tell us what’s going on and it may lead to some work replacing both mine and my neighbors overlays.

It didn't bond to your concrete if it has a hollow sound. Your overlay is cracked up from not bonding to the concrete. I guarantee that your concrete under is just fine.

If its a "real" landscape contractor and not just some illegal with a truck you sue for all the money you paid out. Plus add the cost of the new contractor to remove or prep that garbage. Also I don't know of a landscaper who would do an overlay like that. I'm sure he sold the job to you then sub contracted to someone else who he "HOPED" knew what he was doing. That's his problem.

If you wanted to overlay that in brick pavers or flagstone I could help you out.
Will work for guns and ammo even money if need be.

Oh and the white is probably (epervesense) spelling.............It's salt. It can happen with brick as well. Moisture brings it to the surface. It can be scrubbed away but until it's all gone it will reappear.

Thanks for the info; they are a 'real' landscape company. BBB rated A+ and have been doing business in Colorado since 1980 (BBB record opened in 1991). Also showing 0 complaints in 36 months. We talked with several other homeowners before going with them but I think many of those owners are now upset as well.
