Default Someone calls CSPD about Open Carry

Those of you in the Colorado Springs area might be familiar with Daniel Chacon, a crime reporter for the Gazette. He used to cover City Hall until Hizonner the Mayor made it known he wanted Daniel reassigned. Daniel is politically conservative, but not a gun guy - that's just background.

Anyway, Daniel listens to scanner traffic to find stories he needs to cover. He occasionally posts tidbits on Twitter "Overheard on the Scanner". Here's one that came through just a few minutes ago:

    Daniel Chacon @danieljchacon
Dispatch: "RP is concerned b/c her neighbor was walking around carrying a gun, but he didn't point it at anyone." Cop: "That's not a crime."

Now, we need to find that cop and give him a medal! How simple was that? Are there any other non-crimes that we actually roll cops to?

"Uh, yeah, my neighbor is walking down the street with a waffle iron."
    "Okay... that's not a crime."
"Yeah, but what if he hits some kid on the head with it?"
    "Roger, we'll roll SWAT."

You just made some cheerleader's nose bleed by confusing Colorguard with Cheerleading.

    Indecent exposure charge at LEAST.

Nevermind. I just Googled batons and discovered there is a smaller and lighter baton that isn't made for beating the shit out of people.

Interesting as CSPD uses electronic data to send officers calls. Calls usually don't go out over the radio...
Good story though. There are many LEO's in El Paso and Springs that are protecting your gun rights.
I say lets all remove the warning labels and let nature take its course.
