    Default Rear Sights

What are your favorite sight systems, specifically rear sight systems for AR rifles and why? I am familiar with the MagPul flip ups and the Troy Flip Ups. I have been reading reviews on lots but wanna hear what people use and why.

Might be better located in the Sights, Optics, Zero subforum.

I only have experience with Magpul so far. Not much of an iron sight guy.
It's not the odds. It's the stakes.

For a fixed sight I like the Daniel Defense. The Troy is my preferred sight for a fold-down.

That probably is a better place for this question, which I noticed after I posted...

Hopefully a Mod can move it for me.

I prefer fixed sights, but flip ups are nice if you run a glass optic with your gun. They're out of the way when you don't need them and there when you do, which is the point to them. I have a larue fixed rear/Troy fixed HK front, the HK style front makes it easy super easy to line up. I also have Troy flip ups and KAC 200-600m flip ups, and I like them as well.

MaTech fold down rear BUIS for a 20" HBar, it has elevation adjustment for longer shots in case scope is damagedorneeds removed.

My T.P. wheeling and dealing feedback is here.

Opinions are like assholes, everybody has one, and it stinks more than mine.

Troys are almost indestructible and grunt simple. I've never had a need for an engagement out to 600 yds while CONUS so having fancy adjustable rears that can be on the wrong setting and cause you to miss a 100 yd shot is unnecessary. If this is for a duty gun, I would avoid Magpul; I've broken 2 sets getting in and out of vehicles.

I prefer fixed rear sights and the milspec post sight up front. The one I like best is made by Daniel Defense. I ended up getting a similiar one from ebay and put that on mine.
