Agree with Bert. Also agree that getting rid of more is going to be based on 2014 elections. Fields was voted in by people who have no issue with her, one way or the other, so it would be a waste of time to go after her in a recall.

For those advocating for additional recall efforts now, please consider that there are odd year elections coming up. Mostly, those are for the 178 locally-elected school boards in Colorado. We'll also have the billion-dollar-per-year-forever tax increase for public K-12 (Please vote "No"). Election Day will be November 5 and then we're into the holiday season. It would be difficult to gain attention for a recall during the remainder of this year. It wouldn't be impossible, but you would be competing against those things that must and will happen during the next ~4 months. And then, starting in January and running through June, we'll be into the 2014 caucus, assembly, and Primary election season.

Also, for those interested specifically in Hudak, please keep in mind that she is term limited. As noted earlier, her current term expires in 2016. She cannot run for the Senate again without taking off at least one, four-year term. I don't know what her plans are, but I would suggest that she would be far more likely to take a much better paying job in one of the 178 school districts, the Colorado Department of Education, or one of the countless pro-public K-12 education associations/foundations out there.

Winning a pro-Second Amendment majority in the State Senate during the 2014 election cycle would be the most productive way to protect your shared interest.

Could not agree more. We need to have a strong, unified front in 2014. Do not overreach. These asshats are going to be hiding in their foxholes for the time being.

Not that my input matters much, at least after having Chris contribute here, but I agree that additional recalls would be very expensive, politically risky in the extreme, and likely to be perceived as bullying by the public at large.

Furthermore, I agree that it's incredibly important for the state Republican party to start setting up their candidates for 2014, building coalitions with some of the more libertarian-minded voters out there, and generally trying to take back the state.

Additionally, I think it would be incredibly fruitful to propose that the magazine ban, UBC, and same day voter registration bills be repealed. After the recalls, I have a hard time believing that we wouldn't pick up at least a couple of votes to swing a repeal of the magazine ban at the very least.

As much as I'd love to see it, it's doubtful we could get another recall going... but one person I'd LOVE to see without a job after the 2014 elections is Jeanne Nicholson... I cannot stand that woman!

It seems that all the cautious advice against more recalls is exactly the same as we got prior to the Morse and Giron recalls - term limits, bullying, 2014 elections, etc...

I don't understand why it is wise to rely solely on the R party to select pro-2A candidates. Besides, the Rs haven't exactly been winning elections lately and I don't want to rely on losers. These regular people in Co Springs and Pueblo made a big difference not only in Colorado, but on the national stage. And, they did it without much help from "The Party".

If we wait for the political class to act for us, we'll be waiting a long, long time.
