"Stop Resisting Arrest!"
That quote makes me a little sick to my stomach.I don't believe that this bill's blanket ban on semi-automatic rifles would reduce criminal activity or enhance public safety enough to warrant this infringement on gun owners' rights
Not a victory for out fellows in Cali at all, 14 bills, 7 vetoed, but still 7 signed.
The main one was SB374 where all centerfire rifles with detachable magazines are banned and declared as "assault rifles" that requires registration.
VETOED

SIGNED

AB 170 by Assemblymember Steven Bradford (D-Gardena) – Assault weapons and .50 BMG rifles.
AB 231 by Assemblymember Philip Y. Ting (D-San Francisco) – Firearms: criminal storage.
AB 500 by Assemblymember Tom Ammiano (D-San Francisco) – Firearms.
AB 711 by Assemblymember Anthony Rendon (D-Lakewood) – Hunting: nonlead ammunition. A signing message can be found here.
AB 1131 by Assemblymember Nancy Skinner (D-Berkeley) – Firearms.
SB 683 by Senator Marty Block (D-San Diego) – Firearms: firearm safety certificate.
Disclaimer: I can't spell.
SB683 will require registration of a firearm when transferred. If to a family member that must within 30 days obtain a safety certificate and register the gun with the CA DOJ. As goes CA, so goes the nation. We must continue to fight and vote out any that would put party and idealism above the constitution.

SB374: This bill would, instead, classify a semiautomatic centerfire rifle that does not have a fixed magazine with the capacity to accept no more than 10 rounds as an assault weapon. The bill would require a person who, between January 1, 2001, and December 31, 2013, inclusive, lawfully possessed an assault weapon that does not have a fixed magazine, including those weapons with an ammunition feeding device that can be removed readily from the firearm with the use of a tool, and who, on or after January 1, 2014, possesses that firearm, to register the firearm by July 1, 2015
