Running an Ad in the NY Times for Recent Recall... Who Wants to Pitch in?

I may set up a Paypal dealio for people to chip in. The cheapest it will be is 4 lines which is what you see. I can add more to it but it looks like it runs around $50 per line so we need to take that into consideration.

Isn't there some other section that would be a better fit? People go to the obituary section to read about the death of their loved ones.. not sure a political ad would fly. If you can show me examples of this section being used by other people in a similar fashion then i would be on board.

Most papers have a general section of some sort or an announcements section where lawyers and stuff put the mandatory public legal announcements and so on.

This is a good idea. I wasn't super keen on doing it in the obit section as that seems kind if disrespectful but makes a point. The idea is to do this online in an area that isn't highly scrutinized so that we can actually get it in there w/o them kicking it back. There is a general section I believe so I will have to look into this as well.

Don't use B-burg's name anywhere in it, even for registration. Use something generic...

It's technically ΜΟΛΩΝ ΛΑΒΕ but I'm not sure they'll allow that. I cut and pasted someone else's suggestion so while I can't take credit for the typo I will certainly fix it before it goes to print. I was in such a hurry to get the ball rolling that I didn't spend too much time proof reading yet. Good catch though.
