How about one of our artists draws a cartoon picture of a military style boot kicking Bloomberg out of Colorado and running it as a political cartoon?

Sure man, I liked the idea from the jump and am open to suggestions and ideas. I want this to be a group effort.

Yeah, I saw something that said something like $24,000 starting price and kept right on going to a small listing. I mean, if people want to invest thousands in this I'll champion the effort but I'm not personally investing anywhere near the kind of money required to do something like that. I think we need to stop talking about full-page ads in the NYT because it's just clouding the situation since it's obliviously not going to happen without NRA backing. Dudley, where's your dollars?? lol

Looks like if we go with the full page route we are going to have set up a donation site for whomever reads it and agrees can donate. Also, we could set up a donation site for those that oppose it too just to gauge how many people in NY want to put their money where their mouth is.
We can just return the money of the opposing side later since it will mostly be from bloomers himself.

I'm fine with spending a little bit for this but if you're talking tens of thousands those are funds better spent on the next recall or campaigns IMO. A few hundred bucks? Sure. Tens of thousands of dollars? I'm not interested in that because I think it's wasteful in this instance.

Design full page ad, announce intention to buy space, start site to take donations. Members here start spreading ad around forums, facebook etc, make lots of noise, go viral, get national attention.

I have my doubts that NYT is actually going to accept such an ad at any price.

The Denver Post has refused or jacked the price out of touch on this type of thing before and don't see NYT being much different.

I would do something that tells NY gun owners to follow Colorado's lead and kick them out.

I wonder if you could find an independent print shop to print up flyers and then pay people to hand them out? No way to block that and you'll get more bang for your buck. No pun intended.

Do all the prep work, then let social media take over, keep spreading around til it grows legs and goes viral. If such a hot topic as this goes viral, it will get natl. attention and be reported on. No need to actually buy ad space, just make everybody think so.

Waste of resources in my opinion but go for it if you wish.

You would probably get more views just posting it on craigslist.
