    Default Enough already

To date from this weather pattern, we have received over 15 inches of rain. We have been fortunate at this point to have had very little impact personally, but many of my friends on this board and otherwise have been. I get that we need the moisture, but enough is enough. I don't consider myself particularly religious(spiritual, yes), but maybe it's time to start praying for more seasonal weather. If there's any saving grace, it's that it's not 35 degrees colder. 15 inches of rain would be close to 12 FEET of snow...

Well that's questionable.. yeah we got 14 inches of rain but in reality most of it just runs off the surface here so after the 1st inch or two the rest is just running downstream..

Nice, I see what you did there.

Hopefully the ponds and lakes and reservoirs are filling up nicely.

For those saying enough already, I will just remind you Hawaii got 41 straight days of rain in 2006 -- it was so bad, my sister had to evacuate her house, not because of flooding but because the soil under foundations was liquefying and the house uphill from her was threatening to slide down the mountainside. This is a time to remember the Power of Nature, help our neighbors who are less prepared or fortunate than we are, and be thankful for what we've got.

My yard certainly has loved all of this moisture as well! With me being a day sleeper it sure has helped me sleep well the past few days with the cool rain and cloud cover.

I would not have been at work at all. Fire in the fireplace, hot coco for the kids, hot coco with baileys for me, a good book. Fuck the world.

Mine too. I need to put pontoons on my mower so I can cut the rice that I planted.
