I lucked out ... had just had new sod put in over Labor Day weekend and it was starting to dry out on me (stupid watering restrictions -- didn't know about exceptions for new sod) just as the rains hit. Now the browning patches are recovering and I need to start thinking about mowing.
Power out in aurora. Right in the middle of making breakfast. Had to bust out the propane and propane accessories.

Actually, I think 12 feet of snow would have been more preferable. It would melt more slowly, and thus wouldn't totally ruin all the roads and bridges.
