Hmm point taken, I shall call and ask... ( I acted on assumption and not facts, yup my mistake )
If you have not taken delivery of the item, refund is given. If you did a paper and decided to switch to an e-file, that would be considered a new application, as you're not resubmitting for correction. Being vague in your post doesn't help either.
