Next time remind me to put a sarcasm alert in my posts. If you don't think I see the scope of this disaster you are wrong. I can see it very clearly from here. And not only were my parent in Loveland affected by this, but my friend in Milliken has been displaced and I happen to be friends with many Loveland firefighters.

I'm sure Putin would love nothing better than to send an emergency response team in so he could tell his public that we're so incompetent we had to get help from the great Russian people. There's a point where more boots on the ground just create more confusion and friction. I suspect logistics will be hard enough with the out-of-state teams who don't know the area or geography, no need to throw in teams who don't even speak or read English.

How many people are missing there? How much property damage is there? How many universities and medical centers are under water there?

You are literally taking a natural disaster, which has killed several people, hundreds more are missing, billions in property damage and probably a couple hundred thousand people who have lost their homes, and are making it into a bullshit partisan gun politic argument.

Not everything is about guns, there are people's lives at risk here. Pull your AR out of your ass and look at the big picture.

Personally, I don't think it's a bad thing to look at this with some skepticism. Skepticism comes with experience. Suspicion toward the government's motives is a healthy thing, IMO. The Founders didn't trust the government, and neither should we.

Many of these folks weren't allowed to buy flood insurance. Now our tax dollars get to pay for a lot of the damage.
